Our Year End Is Around The Corner

Sometimes its always those who whisper first and what that whisper is about that ignites speculation and rumor, it will always abound so we’ll be looking at and sharing in our newsletter what’s taken place with the AIEBC through the past year, the good and the bad, why we chose not to endorse issues such as immigration reform S. 744: Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act or H.R. 2190: Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2013 and what that cost us for making such a stand, why we do not agree with Kansas City’s version of “Community Recognition” and how we interpret what “Relevant Community Recognition” is, who and what companies benefitted from it by claiming minority status as American Indian and how they did that without having any proof what so ever even when the Nations, Tribes and relevant community said these people were not members or citizens, the e-mail responses we received because we asked for information concerning how it was determined and how non minority businesses have been using the MBE program at the expense of the American Indian people on projects such as the Airport and other local projects that used Federal funding and what that cost us as an organization to question everyday practices and the search for what it means when a State like Missouri says it does NOT recognize State Tribes and the effect it has on people that claim they are from a State recognized tribe trying to do business in Kansas City, MO., who we partnered with, who we dropped, who dropped us and the reason for it all. This should be an interesting read because I’m sure there is a little of something for everyone. Please know that this is in no way a “tell all” this is simply a coming to Jesus moment to put things in perspective.
